The 2011 PTBA Meeting in Asheville, North Carolina
Arrowhead Trails, Inc. traveled to Asheville, North Carolina in March to attend the 2011 Sustainable Trails Conference sponsored by the Professional Trail Builders Association, PTBA.
Over 287 attendees participated in the trade show, concurrent sessions, and trail workshops. Representatives from 40 states, 3 provinces, and 4 countries participated in the week-long conference.
Arrowhead Trails, Inc. attended informative sessions, exhibited as a vendor, and took a short tour of the armoured trail construction project completed in the Dupont Forest by one of the 3-day workshop participant groups.
Sustainable Trails from Ontario and Trail Dynamics from North Carolina were the contractors responsible for overseeing the work shop training session.
Collaborating with other professional trail builders, a motorcycle ride along the Blue Ridge Parkway, Saint Patrick's Day in Asheville, tour of several local waterfalls, and a visit to the Dupont Forest, were memorable highlights of Arrowhead Trail's trip to North Carolina. We can't wait for the upcoming 2013 conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
